This is a test, this is only a pie test! Yesterday I tested out a BBQ Chicken Pie for the Pie Lovers Unite! event for BK Farmyards.
I don’t want to give away too much, but I know a thing or two about pie contest politics, having thrown a pie-baking event for three years, and I’ve begun to figure out what makes a prize-winning pie.
I’m pretty sure that all of the winners from the past three years have been a savory pie. I myself love a good simple fruit pie, but there is something about savory that really gets people excited.
My recommendation for anyone - go for a classic with a twist. Something like that is always sure to please the crowd and get them to eat, and vote, on your pie.
